1851年に発明された湿板写真（アンブロタイプ）。それは、ガラスの板に直接感光剤を塗り、撮影から現像までを、文字通り表面が湿っているうちに行う、19世紀の古典的な写真技法です。Invented in 1851, wet plate collodion (ambrotype) is a classical 19th-century photographic technique. The process involves coating a glass plate with a light-sensitive emulsion and completing everything from exposure to development while the surface is still literally wet.

赤いセーフライトが灯る暗室で、ガラス板に薬剤を塗り、感光性を持たせる作業工程をご覧いただけます。写真の歴史や技法についての解説を交えながら、その場で「生のフィルム」を作り上げる古典写真ならではのプロセスを体験してください。

In a darkroom lit by a red safelight, you can witness the preparation process of coating a glass plate with chemicals to make it photosensitive. Experience the unique process of creating "raw film" on the spot, accompanied by explanations of photographic history and techniques.

撮影体験

「シノゴ」と呼ばれる大判カメラで使われる写真フィルムのサイズ（101mm×127mm）のガラスを使用します。一点ものの繊細なガラスプレートは、大切に守るオリジナルの桐箱に入れてお渡しします。150年以上も形として残り続ける、あなただけの特別な一枚。デジタルにはない本物の重みと質感を、ぜひ手にとって感じてください。

We use glass plates in the "4x5" (Shi-no-go) format (101mm x 127mm), the same size used in traditional large-format cameras. Each delicate, one-of-a-kind glass plate is presented in a handcrafted paulownia wood box designed for its protection. A truly unique piece that will endure for over 150 years as a tangible memory.
